How we work

You do not need a technical specification. We start with the spreadsheet, the repeated task, and the person who understands how the work actually gets done.

Where we start

The current process may not look like a system. It might be a workbook with hidden formulas, a series of emails, or a set of decisions an experienced employee makes without having written them down.

That is enough to begin. Our first job is to understand the work in plain language before deciding what technology belongs behind it.

Understand and capture

We sit with the people doing the work and map the steps, decisions, exceptions, and handoffs. The goal is not to produce a process diagram for a binder. It is to turn knowledge held by individuals into rules a system can follow and the business can inspect.

Some decisions should stay human. We separate routine logic from the cases that genuinely need experience and judgment. AI handles everything else.

Connect

Your information may live in spreadsheets, accounting software, a CRM, shared drives, email, or a line-of-business tool. We build the connections that move it where the process needs it.

You do not need to know whether that means an API, scheduled import, database, or something else. Choosing and maintaining that mechanism is part of the service.

Automate

We build the routine steps, checks, notifications, and handoffs into the system. It runs on a schedule or responds when something changes, and it fails visibly when a person needs to intervene.

The goal is not to remove judgment. It is to stop spending judgment on copy-paste, reminders, and rules a system can apply consistently.

Surface what matters

Sometimes the useful output is a report or visualization. Sometimes it is an alert, a generated document, an update inside an existing tool, or a small interface for handling exceptions.

We work with you to determine the action someone needs to take and make sure they know when action is required.

What an engagement looks like

It starts with a conversation about what happens by hand, who understands it, and which files or tools are involved. Then we map enough of the real process to define a useful first implementation.

We build in working slices so the rules can be checked against reality before the entire process depends on them.

The initial build is billed as an upfront implementation fee. Once it is running, the engagement continues on a monthly retainer so the system stays monitored, maintained, and useful as tools and business rules change. Billed amounts are depend on the scope of work.

Ongoing operation

An automation is not finished when it runs once. Tools change, spreadsheets move, and business rules evolve. The monthly retainer covers monitoring, maintenance, and agreed changes so the implementation keeps doing its job after launch.

Specific access, usage, and commercial terms are set out in the proposal and agreement for each project.

Where we'd say no

Sometimes the honest answer is that an off-the-shelf tool will do. If the process fits a product without significant work between systems, we'll point you in the right direction.

We also turn down work that uses AI as decoration. If we can't unlock efficiency, we don't want to waste your time.
